Ellycia (Elly) has a background in conservation biology and international environmental governance. She has expertise in international law and policy relating to the ocean, biodiversity and climate change and has worked for over a decade with issues relating to the ocean-climate nexus. Ellycia’s doctoral research explored novel ways for addressing the emergent environmental problem, ocean acidification, under existing multilateral environmental agreements. Ellycia has almost 2 decades of experience working within and providing research and policy support for non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations and government departments.
